Martinair has changed its business model drastically since 2007. In order to respond to a changing
environment the IT organisation needed to adapt. Martinair outsourced all of its IT activities to Getronics
and IBM. During this track Frauke Pieters will paint a picture of the outsourcing process itself and how the
process enabled Martinair to respond to today's challenging World.

2. ASML IT: “Weapons of Mass Construction!”
As part of the CE2010 initiative [Integral Cost & Efficiency improvement initiative] and like many
other companies, ASML IT is challenged to support all its internal customers busy with their
business processes. Okay but how? In a high-tech company like ASML, IT has chosen its “weapons of
mass construction” so to deliver its value I.T. chooses its battles and those are more specifically
a Business Process Support group doubled with a IT4E group [IT for Engineers].
Speaker: Marc Touitou, Senior Vice-President and CIO ASML
Theme Session
3. VIRTUALISATION - How to create your own private cloud?
Over the past few years the data centre has been transforming from a business-centred physical location
into a highly integrated and virtualised environment, including Unified Computing and Virtual Storage.
This allowed CIO’s to scale their organization’s resources, information and most importantly their
business much more effectively. But these benefits have come at the cost of greater complexity and
forced CIO’s to focus more closely on operational expenses than before. This presentation will address a
joint vision for data center architecture as we see it becoming a consolidated, virtualised and automated
environment that lays the foundation for cloud computing within the enterprise and beyond. It will give you
answers to crucial questions like: what can virtualisation and cloud computing mean for my organization,
how to realize business alignment, how to maximize benefits and what are the steps to take and the
challenges to expect.
This session will be facilitated by Cisco, EMC, VMware and Accenture.

16. ROYAL FRIESLANDCAMPINA merger synergies (1+1=3)
The FrieslandFoods and Campina merger into Royal FrieslandCampina was approved at the end of
2008, therefore, as a company and, Corporate ICT as a new consolidated function, had big challenges to
deliver in 2009 and beyond! Both former companies had growth targets to deliver that did not wish to
compromise because of the merger. The merger envisioned the generation of substantial synergies to be
delivered mostly between 2009 and 2012. The crisis hit hard in the beginning of 2009 and is still going on.
The consolidation of the ICT resources and activities in one single department created further
expectations of higher quality and agility at a lower cost. The ICT organizations of FrieslandFoods and
Campina working together with external partners has rapidly become one delivery- and transformational
unit to deliver more and faster than before, not only tactical solutions, but to build and deliver also the
2009-2013 ICT Strategy. Vision and pragmatism are the key words!
Speaker: Nuria Simo, CIO, Royal FrieslandCampina
17. Meteor or Pebble: Be of Impact!
What do we mean with impact? Do we need to look for this massively impactful application or new
technology that will turn the world upside down? Or should we focus on those little changes we can make,
however potentially meaning a big change for the future of your company? Bottom line is that the IT/IS
function needs to contribute in achieving the company's objectives and in order to have that impact, some
essentials need to be in place.
Speaker: Hilary Cassady, CIO, Danone Baby & Medical Nutrition Divisions
